An initial consultation allows us to discuss your concerns, what you may be looking for, and how counselling may be able to help.
There is no commitment to continue after our initial meeting, and you may like to consider meeting with more than one counsellor to help you establish who you would like to work with.
However at this stage if you and I were to decide to continue with counselling sessions we may agree to meet short term, for 6 or 12 sessions, or to work longer term. We would review our arrangement regularly as our work together progresses.
Sessions are usually fifty minutes, held weekly at the same time and day each week, and weekday daytime and evening appointments are available.
I also offer fifty minute group support sessions for couples who feel they may benefit from taking time to talk together. A group session is not counselling or formal relationship therapy, but is intended to allow couples a designated, private and confidential space to speak about their experience.
